Can anyone recommend a camera to use for VDJ camera plug in? It would have to be cheap and easy to use.
Also, does anybody know if the plug in has split screen or PIP capabilities?

You need to have a camera that is USB capable. I have a Sony HC96 camera. You must install the driveres/software for the camera, then connect it via USB for VDJ to see it.

I have a Sony As well with to usb. I find that the fire wire causes me disruptions in video flow/quality.

Thanks guys for your help. I was thinking I could use a simple USB web cam to broadcast either Karaoke singers or Guitar Hero participants durng my show.
Once I get it going, I'll be glad to share my results.

I've tested some web cams even the one with 8mp. It was a good camera but you have to consider lighting. I would have used it but the lighting was a factor especially at a distance of 10 - 20'... find a place that will alow you to return if not suited for you. I returned 3 cameras before I figured out which is best for me. Maybe a standard web cam will suit your needs.
