Topic: Need Help With Headphones

I have a headphone splitter that I use sometimes with virtual dj. But I can't seem to listen to the song I want to mix through my headphones without it coming out of t he speakers too. Do I need something else to do this?

Yes, at least a 4.1 sound card.
