Since I installed 5.07, my center mouse stick on my Hercules does not move the highlighted song up or down, and does not switch browser sections. I have installed the 2008 Herc drivers, and also have the Herc mapper installed, which seems to show the correct function for that stick. In the Herc control panel, when I check off ENABLE DJ MOUSE, I get a mouse effect that moves the cursor arround just like a mouse - not like it used to be (moving between songs / browser sections).
Any ideas on this?

Does anybody using the 2008 Herc drivers have this problem?

I use the new drivers, and I find that the stick (as well as the other controls) atually works better than it used to with the old ones. Very strange that yours is not working as expected.
One thing that I am doing differently is that I am not using the mapper. Perhaps you should try it this way and see what happens.

How would I remove the mapper? I do not see it under UNINSTALL PROGRAMS, nor under the START button. In addition, now my regular mouse is VERY jumpy. Not sure why this is happening. Gotta remove that mapper...

Just go into your virtual dj program folder (under my documents) and look for the mappers dll file and delete it;^]

anyone got a mapper to make the video crossfader only work on the MK2?
Posted Mon 19 May 08 @ 6:21 pm
That's already native to the MK2... why would you need a mapper for that?

FYI... Uninstalling the mapper fixed this problem.

Sorry I didn't catch this. If I understand correctly, you want the crossfader to crossfade the video but not audio? Go to config. > remote control > general midi > config. > add, now move the crossfader until "autolearn" in the top is replaced with a number, then in the furthest left panel choose "video" at the very bottom & in the next panel choose "video_crossfade" & click "ok", then click "ok" on the "midi config." page. Keep the settings panel open and go to "options" and for "crossfader" choose "disabled" and click "ok". Now the crossfader will work only for video but not audio;^]
