Hey everyone. I have tried a few different midi controllers, and currently i hav a Denon DN-HC4500. There are a few commands that wud be super sweet to be midi assignable that currently dnt seem to be possible, so I thought I would start a "Midi-control wish list" post. So post ur ideas!
Here are mine:
1) It wud be sweet if a midi button could be programmed to emulate a mouse button press. This would be great for things like moving a track up or down in your play list. ie: With a rotary encoder programmed to scroll through your play list, you would highlight the song you want to move, press and hold ur virtual left mouse button and rotate encoder to move the song up or down the playlist. You could re-arange a song list quickly this way.
2) Wud be nice to have a short-cut or midi assignable "preview track" function. That jst doesnt seem to be in the midi command list in VDJ custom midi mapper.
Maybe (ahem) JPBoggis will be incorporating some o these functions in his mapper for the DN-HC4500 specifically. Are these possible through C++ custom mapper JP? I know u have been getting lots of Q's bout ur mapper-in-progress... sry to bother u with more.
Anybody else got some ideas? There are a few different types of DJs and every one has their own 'style' so i'm sure our needs are all quite different. Great to get a large forum like this brain storming tho. Bsides, we gotta keep the Atomix dev team on their toes! haha... joke. I'm sure their always busy. There hard work shows with this great software.
cheers!
