Topic: Format for External Hard Drive

What type of format do you use on your external Hard Drive for VDJ to read??
Fat 32 or NTSF???

For me it is "NTSF" for use in VDJ...

If you have a fat32 disk and you want to convert it to ntfs:

- Connect the external HD.
- Go to start -> Run
- Type cmd
- Type convert D: /FS:NTFS (if D is your external)

With fat32 you can“t copy files bigger then 2 gb, therefore you need ntfs.



 

NTFS also has a better support for file recovery in case of disasters.
 

i always recommend Neutron Terra Flop Sampling , myself .....

True, NTFS all the way, FAT is old file system that is abandoned years ago.
