Hi, I have just the MK1 and set up everything however my only problem is listening to the music in the headphone whilst the other is playing. I play the sound through my amp and when I connect my headphones to my amp it i can hear the music however when i press the headphone button to listen it comes out through the speakers as well as the headphones when the crossfader is on the the other side.. Any ideas what I should do?

I admit I am not real familiar with the MKI but, I think your going to need a second sound card.
 
If you have a 4.1 or better soundcard you can prelisten that way. You just have to set it up in VDJ config.
 
I believe what u have is the dj console mp3 if u need a soundcard. The mk1 n mk2 have a soundcard built. Have u downloaded the latest driver?
 
yea that is the one i have i think. I have downloaded all the drivers and spent about 3 hours getting it to work but it wont. Also what I realised is that It gives me only 1 option to choose which is the console in the in the virtual dj config. it says all the rest are for pro version. Is it possible to upgrade it? If yes can you be nice enof to post the link? Thanks
 
andy, you could try this until your sorted, its in my blogs





basically if you cant follow the clip

go to config

soundsetup

outputs > external mixer

soundcards > mono seperated

output channels give you white lead/left channel red lead/right channel to your mixer

you will have to use a y splitter for each channel to get dual inputs into mixing desk

which of course will only give you mono sound output

I forgot to add that I am connecting it to a laptop and not a desktop. It is the console mp3..refering to the driver, which one are you talking about? May not have gotten to that extent? Thanks
 
Thanks, but I run version 3 of the software dj...is it a free upgrade to get this version?
