I'm wondering if two different databases are possible in VDJ 5+.
I want to have one database that is for a USB drive that I use at gigs, and a different database that would be for files on my home server that I'd use in my house for practice.
If this is possible, how would I tell VDJ which database to use?
After typing this, I remembered I read in the manual that the database is saved to the drive where the files are. Would that mean that VDJ just looks for any database and pulls that up?

correct. I sometimes use I flash drive to transfer files between one system and another. VDJ places a database on that drive. So yes, 5.x places database on every drive that accesses vdj then you can go mobile.

sweet, so all I have to do is plug in and DJ as normal. No need to worry about or configure for multiple dadabases, right?

Just plug in and go. Because each drive keeps its own database it will keep a record of bpm and cue points. So you can use different computers with the same information.
