Topic: One of these VOB's is not like the others

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Ive ripped quite a few music DVD's using DVDdecrypter and the settings given by TopHouse, but theres just one VOB file which is giving me alot of trouble and I really would like to use the clip. All other video files on the disc play perfectly when ripped to VOB except this one gives an "error in vob file" message when trying to load in Virtual DJ. The strange thing is it plays perfectly if I load the VOB into a normal DVD viewer program. Any ideas?

Grug, try ripping it with dvdshrink instead.. OR load the vob up into a program like tmpgenc and just get it to re-render, not convert but re-render as a .vob file and that may cure it.
 
I have few of these vobs too, also some have audio slowed down on VDJ. Re-rendering with some program like Sony Vegas helps. Just make sure that the video quality won't drop.
