Depends.

For club use I'd only use a high quality mixer like RANE mp44, Player: Pioneer - either a Dual player like cmx 3000 or cdj1000's

For mobile - Use whatever you like., I like Vestax and Numark.

Yea, saying whats the top dj brand is like saying what is the top food brand (btw, frito lay is the best food brand imo, lol). You need to be much more specific.

For turntables: Technic, still the leader with 1200s. Numark is up there too
For CDJs: Pioneer, like Marcel said. Their cdjs are renowned, but their higher end ones cost a pretty penny (DVJ-1000 costs a whooping $2,400!! for just one!)
For Software Controllers: Probably Hercules. I have the MK2 and it is awesome
For Speakers: There is no specific best brand for these, i use Geminis, they are pretty nice, but i have heard good things about Mackie
For Boards (not neccesarily mixers, but like theatre or producer's boards): Ive used several, mainly mackie and yamaha, and i prefer yamaha the most. They are solid and reliable boards, i use a 24 channel mixer, its probably 8 years old, and its really good.
For Mixers: Really, i dont know much on this topic, since my MK2 is my mixer

Hope that helps!

clothes: hanes, fruit of the loom
shoes: vans, dc shoes
toothpaste: crest

Avis or Budget for Rental Cars. El Gaucho's for steak in Aruba. Pioneer for mixers, Technics for turntables. Akai for a sampler. Amps and speakers good luck.. IMHO

All that and you never learned where your CAPS LOCK button is :).

i think i got one of those, never did learn how to use it... but there again i'm bloody useless at this new computer fangled what you mo call it thingy mi jiggy the vicar is coming to tea stuff

Its always gonna be a personal preferance thing. Also, what kind of budget your working with. I was always on a limited budget. I have been using the Behringer B300 (powered speaker) for several years now with no problem. I am in the process of replacing them with the Behringer B215A because they are about 30 lbs. lighter now. The best thing is if you know someone that you can borrow a piece from to check it out. That is how I discovered the Yorkeville subs. Or go to someone elses gig to hear it for yourself. I've always been big into the online reviews, they can be very helpful.

Well Al, that all depends on A.) the slut..and B.) the prostitute.....not always the case sorry Al, to disagree....

Apparently Terry has enough money to tell the difference. My budget can only afford the slut. Maybe a couple of drinks and a late night booty call on the nights and weakend plan.

I hope there are no kids reading this topic :)

As far as I'm concerned there are only kids participating in it..

Oh snap, your right!

I like slutty prostitutes, so I spend the extra money. You $10.00 guys are gonna have to step your came up a notch. You have no idea what an extra $5.00 can do. If you want to run with a big balla, you are gonna have to throw the paper around, you pucking amateurs.

Real men use anything but Colgate, puck the ADA.

I like Rane, Pioneer, Technics, Denon.

I prefer Whore's, cheap as fcuk....lol

In my book you can't beat Technics and Pioneer for Club gear.

Emerson with the tuner, 8 track and record player (it was not a turntable). That was my first setup. They don't know about that, real pro gear.
