How do i use the sampler

Say i load a song, and i want to record part of it onto the sampler. How do i do that.

I got it to work accidently once and now cant figur eout how to do it.

Using a 4500 midi mapped

IS there some way to select which deck gets recored?
 
the sampler will record whichever deck is active. I've found that if you load a song, loop the part you want recorded and hit the loop button (lets say on sample bank #1)it'll load that loop into it. stop your track and press the play button on sample #1 and it should have recorded your sample loop. Make sure and save it for later.

Step 1 load a track to deck 1 or 2 , notice on side A or B the loop sampler next to each deck.

Choose the deck you want to record by going to Either Recorder A or B ,



Choose a sampler slot from the drop down list.

3. Cue it up to the right location

4. Hit play

5. Hit Record

6. Your sample is now recorded onto the slot of your choice.
