Topic: Anybody Using Both Rhapsody And Napster?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Couple questions for those who use both services.

1: I've heard some reviews saying that most songs not on napster can be found on rhapsody and vice versa. Has that been your experiance?

2: Have you tried running both services and VDJ at the same time? If so, did it create any problems?

I'm considering adding a subsription to rhapsody to my napster subcription, but I want to make sure of these things I mentioned before I give my credit card to rhapsody for the trial. Thanks;^]

It Don't Matter Anymore Napster Dont work with VDJ anymore 8( so you have to run Napster in the back ground and inport songs in drag to playlist so Rhapsody would work the same way

That's what I meant by running them together, as seperate programs. I've been doing that with napster at gigs, using a second monitor for the napster interface. I went ahead & signed up for a 31 day trial though after I posted this, and so far no real problems after an hour set with rhapsody downloading but not napster, though both services were running in the background. I was surprised to see Musical Youth's "Pass The Dutchie" and Eddy Grants "Electric Avenue", those were both songs I had been trying to find. Overall not too bad so far, I'll have to test it alot more in differant scenerios before using at any gigs.

I think it's Napster that's the problem, they don't seem to want any third party access by allowing VDJ to work from their database. Not too big a deal though with the second monitor;^]
