Topic: How do you remove vocals from song?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have heard some dj mixes that play songs with vocals from other songs? I tried doing it by removing the bass but it sounds like crap......i also tried the effect called vocals and it still sounds like crap............any other suggestions?

get an acapella (vocal only version).

he shouldent have to... the vocal remover shloud work for him which it doesent...

PLZ FIX THAT USELESS PLUGIN!

plugin works for most vocal songs for me... not hiphop, not rock, but most mainstream stuff

iv tried 1 rock song, some r&b and house music, but it never works 4 me therefore i deleted it :)

It does not work like that... this plugin is great for removing vocals from simple songs for for KJ

But no software is perfect for removing vocals it just cant be due to the way sound is.

Studios use very expensive hardware solutions to extract vocals something that software let alone plugins can never do at the same level.

To get the acapella version is easiest

If you want a good quality sound, get an acapella. Vocal removers can't do shit in most cases,
it's just the nature of signal processing that isolating a certain complex signal from already complex
mix isn't easy, many times impossible.
