For a best explanation please use the supplied mix station 3 manual but essentially you will notice when using the plug in for web cam a red line , when you move your hand along this red line the program will scratch , its not particularly accurate so i wouldn't recommend it to much for live gigs.

Move your hand around infront of the camera and pray to God for help, because a miracle is needed for any usable results :).
