Topic: djio help?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hey everyone
sooooo i've been using torq for the last few months
it's well-known that the numark DJio external soundcard has trouble with mac in versions 10.4.11 and higher, and esp. leopard
but, the thing is that i've been able to use this guy in torq, but changing the sample rate to the highest number. not perfect, but functional.

i was going to try out a friend's copy of vdj last night and when i hook up the djio, i get no sound, or perhaps two seconds of sound that then fades or clips out.

any idea how to change the settings on vdj to make this work right? of course i know the problem is really with the drivers numark has(n't) released, but i was on the verge of purchasing VDJ and unless my card can work with it now, i'm just going to have to wait :(

help?

Hi , a new driver will be released shortly to give support for leopard in the next couple of weeks roughly , 10.4.11 works fine however.

I spoke to the guys at Numark and they said that 10.4.11 was affected by the same problem, but the patch for leopard should also work for 10.4.11.

I am from the Uk HQ specializing in Numark Computer DJ products.

Not sure who you spoke to at the Usa office but , while the new driver will increase quality on both it is perfectly possible to use the DJ.io on 10.4.11 with a full legal copy of Cue/VDJ for Mac.

We have done alot of testing with it.

If you have made a purchase of the program please add your serial to your VDJ profile so you can get the latest pro version 5.07 or Please encourage your friend to do so.
which has many improvements to quality.

If not , as there is no demo , please be aware that crackers damage VDJ/Cues code when they unlock programs and demoing a crack will result in alot of problems on your machine.

Aslo try to set on Config > Performances

Latency : Auto
and set the Slider to fastest.

On Sound Config :

Inputs : none
Outputs : headphones
Card : 4.1
Driver 1 : Numark Usb Audio Device.

Channels:
1/2 main 3/4 headphones

If this fails do a hard reset of your config :

Lke on windows in which the configuration is saved in keys in a registry file

on mac os VDJ config is saved ina file called a plist located here :

yourcomputer/users/youname/libary/preferences

its called com.atomixproductions.virtualdj.plist

Kind Regards
