is there a way to remote my 5000s to my laptop and control the program with them?

With an external sound card (could be the Maya44) and a Time Coded CD you can.
 

do you know where i can find the info on what i need and directions on how to use it
 

Try the Timecodes section in the manual would be a good start to understand what Timecodes feature is...

And no you will not be able to 'control' the software. You can control the play of the tracks... but not the features of the software like - crossfades, effects, transitions, etc.
 

so the music i have loaded can be mixed by my cd players? i use a gigaport so i use an external mixer.
 

Thats right. You can manipulate only the music as if they were music CDs. But Im not sure if you can use the hot cues in the cd player and/or the alpha function.
