Topic: VDJ crash on waveform move

Hello,

player 1 is playing, i'm using the mouse on the waveform to forward the 2 player, VDJ crashes and recovers.

I can reproduce it almost everytime i do that.

I have no such problems, in matter of fact, I do this all the time to cue up song 2

Are you having any hardware conflicts/sharing, specially irq sharing with graphic and soundcard?

Same here. No problems. I tred it now and moved the waveform back and forth for the length of a 3 minute song rater quickly. Nothing...

Strange.

Nope. No conflicts. Not one. Every device has it's own IRQ.

I'm very interested to know why this happens.

Could it be my mp3?

The pc is Athlon 1500+, Maya44, WinXP SP2

Could it be the skin?

I'm using the Pioneer CDJ-700S skin.

Try changin the skin and see what happens. Are you using a 2.0 or better skin? I think there was an older version to that skin. Try MIX station SV_04 (1024x768) VDJ 2.00 edA. It really is the best skin in my view.

it could be the skin...

Virtual DJ 2.0x have a few new functions for waveform, and an incompatible skin might act funny...
just a guess

Problem solved here too.
I'm not 100% sure but i think it was the skin.

I'll try to find out which skin was it.

i have shortcuts allocated to seeking back and forward. sometimes after accidentally hitting both the forward and backwards or forward/backwards and play (i'm not exactly sure what the combination is), the program cant get out of seeking. even when another song is loaded. cues set are lost when restarting the program. not all cues/analysing are lost.

i've only had this problem when the whole song is not loaded into memory, and by quickly draging the waveform past the loaded segment of the track. once the track is fully loaded the program is rock solid
