I Love your DAC 2 Mapper which pretty much covers everything, however I do have another suggestion, albeit a rather strange one, so please bear with me...
I am now on my 4th DAC 2, the other 3 with dodgy play buttons. As you may be aware the DAC 2 is no longer available but they can be repaired at an approx cost of £80 to £100 each.
Is there any way to swap the play/pause buttons with the cue buttons on your mappers, maybe insert a "SWAP PLAY/CUE" option button in the DAC 2 plugin options page ?
This would give a new lease of life to my knackered DAC 2s and save me a lot of pennies. How would anyone else feel about this ?

I understand your request. And I can respect what you are asking. But if you are paying that much to have some switches fixed on the circuit board, then you need to find another shop to fix it.
