Topic: iBook G4 1.42 Ghz with 1 gig of Ram

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

The specs are stated in the title of this topic. Is there anything I can do to get VDJ Pro to run faster or I should say load the songs faster? The program starts fine. It runs fine, it's just when I load a song it takes FOREVER. So much so, I cannot use VDJ at any of my gigs. I have to use MegaSeg. Any ideas guys? You say search the forum for the tweaks. I've tried "tweaks" and it is the same.

Have you set the "max load" high (10 min. or up) in your options menu?

Your mac only just meets the requirements for this product ,

that's what I figured.

Me and JCHIAR got on the phone with each each, and using Remote Desktop, he was able to walk me through how to tweak Virtual. It still loads songs rather slow, HOWEVER, does make the program usable. Before, while a song was loading, the program would lock up while a second song was loading (especially while the other song was playing). Now it doesn't lock up anymore at all. Setting the MaxLoad to always and setting the SpeedLoad to 1 is what did the trick. Thanks JCHIAR for your help!

I just relized that the minimum requirements for Serato Scratch LIVE are much lower than VDJ. It will run better on my ibook than VDJ. Can anyone explain why Serato's requirements are lower?

Hi SpeedDemond29, Where is the setting for SpeedLoad? I'm trying to squeeze the last out of my powerbook :)
