Topic: ID3 tag editing?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Are there any plans to incorporate the ability to push VDJ database data into the ID3 MP3 tag? An ID3 update button on the File Infos dialog box would be awesome. I would hate to have to redo all of my song/track data if I were to lose my VDJ database. I am looking to purchase the V5.

Simply make regular backups of your "VirtualDJ Local Database v5.xml" which can be found at the root of any external drives you are using, or in "Your Documents/Virtual DJ" folder on the C: drive if you aren't using an external drive. This will allow you to restore your database quickly should anything happen to it.

I don't have an answer for VDJs probability of supporting the editing of ID3 tags directly, but the information above should at least minimise your worries about having to re-do all of your collection.
