I am looking into buying an Apple Macbook Laptop and Virtual DJ, does the software work well with Apple, or would you recommend something else? Also what size of hard drive would you recommend, as I am also looking into buying an external hard drive to run this off? Good idea or not? Thought that this would be the place to ask as your the ones that would know!!

Thanks in advance people!!

The program works in mac platform, but a lot of the downloadable plugins, video transitions don;t work with mac. Some have been re-worked and can be downloaded for mac now though.

If you want to use everything that VDJ advertises then run VDJ in Bootcamp, and use the PC version.

For now, yes this is the best solution if you want to take advantage of all of VDJ/VV's current stock and bonus features. I've been doing this for a year and a half now.

VirtualDJ/Virtual Vinyl Mac will be on par with the windows version shortly though, and quite a few of us will be having celebratory parties when we can dump windows and give that hard drive space back to our Macs.

My experience was not so good, basically I bought the best macbook pro you could get 2.4 2gb 256mb 160gb etc stripted it put a 320gb hd in it as well as extra couple of gb of ram and the thing still ran slow and crashed when doing a search in VDJ. Ended up selling it and loosing £200

Bootcamp makes it an expensive pc laptop! when was the last apple rev? if I still had it i would be waiting still it would of been a nightmare.
