want to try out sony vegas but i'm running xp64 and it will not load to xp64 only to a 32 system, is there a patch i can use or am i doing something wrong or will i have to re-install my home pc system down to 32

I think if you right click on the exe, and choose properties, then compatibility, and then choose windows 98, or 2000, or possibly even xp (i don't know if it has that option, as I don't run 64) it should run in compatibility mode...

You also may want to check out the user forum at sonymediasoftware.com. They have a pretty good user forum there. (Although their forum software needs an update.)

I use AVS video editor and it works good and easy to use, I also had problems with sony vegas, but heard the latest version 8 pro is much better

Hey Rob, I think the original concern for Tayla was the fact that he has a 64bit computer in which Sony does not support. It's my understanding that any 64 bit computer is going to have problems finding software to support it.. Though I might be wrong!
