is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut to tap / edit bpm without bringing up the bpm window?

AFAIK, no there is only a shortcut to bring up the edit bpm window. in principle it would be a nice idea to tap without the mouse button, however i never use tap. its not accurate and it takes some time to set it properly if vdj fails to gauge it incorrectly (ie trip hop, latin and quite alot of broken beat)
