I download and install the new updates for XP last night. I've just turned my lappy on, and it's reset everything to how it was when I got it, Like Toshiba screen saver, MSN Messenger back on, which I uninstalled (as I don't use it) and other little things like that.
I'm quite worried now, as anybody noticed this with this months update.

Well there was a Windows update yesterday, all 6 systems updated with no problems.
Kind of weird that settings were altered on you.

Thats the ones rick.
Ran VDJ for about 2 hours just in case it buggered it up, nothing happened ( I wasn't expecting it to really ).
Better be safe than sorry, as my mum would say.

Quick story
Had a white noise problem a couple of weeks ago.
Decided to load up my copy of Vista where the right drivers were finally released for my audio card instead of 2 year old drivers.
I was amazed how quick and easy it is to load this os.
Restored another machine this week also to xp home.
Went for the updates, first there was 4, then there was sp2, then there were 60 more and then this one the other day.
I was like OMG this is bs, for hours this went on.
Vista took less than an hour including updates with no mother board disc necessary all the main drivers are already installed, my on board sound drivers were reported missing, and then located and installed in seconds, no tracking down through device manager or finding them online.
Had one program compatibility report for Power DVD, the patch was automatically located and installed in seconds.
It was like BAMM, done!
Had Vista on my laptop for almost a year too, but never installed from scratch.
So feeling pretty good about Vista actually.
Good bye XP

I'm thinking about changing to vista, but been told by the tech geeks at work not to bother with it till service pack 2 comes out.
Also the price is quite high I think, between £140 - £160 here in the UK

My setting is VDJ had gone back to the original skin also after these updates. The plus is that I have had no problems with the progam.

Service pack 3 is still in beta, not released yet. Most of the patches and fixes you have been getting already. There are a few that are new.
