Crap, I have a 1 TB Buffalo external HD. It has two 500gb hd inside of it. I was using VDJ stepped away for about 30 min and came back, try loading a music video, now it show's as if that one HD is blank. Is there anyway of retrieving it or is it done? Next question, I do have it backed up, should I take it back and get it replaced or format and put everything on again?

Had a similar situation with a WD, and freaked. It was not done yet, and I did not have a back up yet. See if it will come back after you reboot, mine did. However, it continued to do this, I was able to copy the whole thing, and was good to go. I would return this drive right away. They may only want to replace the defective one, but so what. Good luck.
