Topic: Does anyone have experience with ableton live?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

i'm trying to do some remixs', and for the most part they are turning out good, but i'm using v.6, and for some reason when the program 'auto warps' the song, which then I can change the bpm as I please, I notice that not all of the beats in the song are aligned correctly. i'm not sure if this is the right area to post this, but i'd really like to learn how to warp manualy, to change the autowarp markers so that its perfect to the ear, and not the beats in the timeline...

Hope I described it good enough.

Is there a tutorial on this somewhere?

Yes, there is a tutorial. I use vdj and ableton depending on my mood. The site you want is abletonlivedj.com. Do a search for warp tutorials. A guy by the name of kaizen has a site linked to aldj. Autowarp does not work well, it always misses...turn it off and learn to do it by hand.
My carpal tunnel however has been exacebated by warping so I have to go easy on the Live and use vdj sometimes. But go to abletonlivedj.com.
I know that when warping dance music, the metronome sucks, use a 4 bar loop of a bass drum to warp by.
Hope this helps.
