Topic: Maya 44 channel dropout

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

VDJ mostly works fine, but twice recently I've lost a channel whilst playing out! I'm using a Maya44 with the latest 2.53 drivers + time-coded vinyl, though it has happened without the TC Vinyl too. (ie. in TC ASIO mode and Advanced ASIO)

I think it was channel 3+4 that dropped, the other one continued to work ok, but as you can guess this limited my mixing possibilities!

I wasn't doing anything special when it happened, VDJ *looked* OK, and I remember it still responded visually to the TC Vinyl, just no audio was coming out of that channel.

Anything I can do about this? Have other users had similar trouble?

Cheers b

MAYA 44 works fine with VDJ in asio mode ...2 line out and 2 line in
Switch to ASIO mode within VirtualDJ after have installed the driver
Don't forget to mute the monitor outputs if you're using the timecoded vinyls using the ASIO config pannel

As I said, it works fine, all 4 channels play, but on occasion one channel drops out, requiring a reboot, which is not much good in the middle of a set...

Spoke to tech support and they suggested it's a dodgy lead ... but I'm thinking this is unlikely geiven it's a brand new s/card with a built in lead?

by lead i think they mean the cable coming out of your sound card I could be wrong, However my problem is not lead its software related.

Yeah that's right... can't replace the damn lead though without replacing the whole s/card

jomtones, i have maya44usb too, and i noticed some
"refresh" problems on the maya mixer/panel.
When i use other or switch between asio programs.

If you have this problem again, just open the mixer/panel
and move and/or mute/unmute the sliders with the problem,
and see if the sound comes back.

Let me know.

Thanks, I'll give that a go next time ... hopefully not in the middle of a set!
