Topic: CDJ jog question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

It's just a basic question I have to ask ...

Up till now I did all my mixing (if not in VDJ) with CDJ 100s, at home and/or at the clubs, I never "spun" on 800s or 1000s ...
now I will have a gig where I need to play on 800s, so here is my question ...

How are the jogs compared to the ones on the 100s. I know that you can do VinylMode etc., the question is about the feel/responsiveness ... is it compareable to the 100s?

Sorry, kind of lame question, but I need to know ...

comments, anybody?

you sould be ok on them

Set the 800 to vinyl mode....

nobody anything more specific?

I think you can't compare 100s with 800s... 800s are waaaay better! (but Denons' can rotate ehehe :D)

CDJ 100's have no vinal mode.

Basically set the 800 to jog mode and spin your set normally. They are both Pioneers so you should no trouble with the functions.
The 800 is a Much better player in terms of function but I would not be surprised that it has the same reading laser as the 100.

Rent a pair before your set and give them a trial with TCCD's. Then hit the club and have fun.

thanx for the answers so far,
I know that the 800 has way more functions n stuff, but the questions was how the jog behaves ...
let me ask the other way around ...
will the 800 in jog mode do the same as the 100, eg. if I do a certain move on the jog of the 100 and do the absolute same on the 800, would I end up in the same spot?
