Topic: VDJ COLOR VINYLS - Page: 4

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Hey Guys In Canada/US.

I ordered a Pair of Gen3's eariler this summer from the web store.

They Arrived in perfect Condition in 1 week (overnight stop at the Border and warehouse in Winnipeg)

The DJ I ordered them from tested them Immediatly after being delivered From my hand to his.

They worked perfectly fine.

The Shipping system is fine. VDJ might be having inventory problems But they ship Via UPS.

Pretty good delivery company.

Thanks Marcel for the kind words. Again I have to say there was never any problem with inventory in the the US/Canada markets. Europe was the problem before, while it had many issues before they have all been corrected. The day that system goes online, everyone will know about it and the Gen-3's will be worldwide. Then we can talk of colored vinyls :)

well is it posible to have blue on one side and red on the other that way u dont have to make 1000 red and 1000 blue and have 2000 tvcs in the warehouse and jsut have 1000 in there (hopefully they wont be there long.
if this can be done when the tvcs do start to ware out and lets face it they do after time jsut flip them over and there ya go with bran new time code on the other side and jsut swap side of the deck to have the corect color corisponding to the color on vdj

as for the clear do the same jsut differant colored labels
oh and what about a spiril from center coming out but that may cause head aches and in crease the chance to hurl

Due to the way vinyls are made what you suggest would be impossible. As I previously stated once gen-3 is online worldwide we can then discuss the prospect of adding a line of colored.

I have never seen dual colored vinyl in my life in the sense that one side was one color and the other was another. Besides, the colored vinyl is translucent, so we would end up with a 3rd color (red + blue = green).

I have seen multi-colored, patterned vinyl (special import of Depeche Modes "Master & Servant" from the 80's), but that's different.

It is possible on picture disc, however those would be so heavy no one would use them upwards of 180g or more. Like those gen-2 you loved so much conquest ;)

My mother told me, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

Other than the fact that they make great moving targets when flown across a shooting range, I have nothing to say about the Gen-2's Cyder. =P

Gen-3's are great though. ;)

Hopefully, Gen-4's with color options will be even better.

well i guess i learnd somthing new today even though it was dissapointing to find it out. but if it was able to be done that would be the sh*t
well i do hope that coloed ones will be out as soon as they can be but till then guess the good ole black one will have to do

Anything is possible you guys should know this by now ;) I just have a few more things to iron out with the new worldwide system, and then we can take on this project. So I ask this one question. If I make this special edition would you guys be willing to pay more per disc then the black standard? I was informed last week that we can't use our current stamper for this project so there is even a greater cost involved. That said, I need some help from you the community to prove there is sincere interest in making these special vinyls to keep this idea alive. So here is the challenge, write me an email send it to ups@virtualdj.com and tell me why you think this project is a good idea be sure to write colored vinyl in the subject line somewhere. I'll then take this to the big boss and present your case to him. Looking forward to hearing from you guys on this one.

ahhhhhh isshhhhh!!!!!!!! I'm getting my on my email right now!!!

Done, come on guys get on this....Here is what I sent

To Whom it may concern;

As a DJ, we are always looking for ways to differentiate ourselves and keep up with Jone's so to speak. One fitting example would be Virtual DJ. This is such a powerful tool for DJ's around the world, and has come a long way on being recognize as a professional DJ tool. The competition is fierce, with Serato Scratch, Tractor, and the many other options that seem to be popping up. As a time code DJ, I love the way this software works. Your company is always looking for break through options for the VDJ system and updates on it's software. I mean look at the video mixing abilities, you guys are light years ahead, but don't stop there. I think it would be fitting and also necessary to make an update to color vinyl. Look at the biggest rival...Serato. They have it available. Now I know the color vinyl isn't cost effective on the company side unless there is demand....and it is safe to say there is demand. I believe that this would show the DJ world that VDJ is not going anywhere and is only growing, but forget about the DJ world, it would show your VDJ clients that you guys are dedicated on keeping up with whats new in the DJ community and making us feel the VDJ is constantly looking to raise the bar. Please at least do a test run on this. If you go to the VDJ forum you will see there is demand and the people want it. This doesn't include just the regular traffic you get from people buying replacement time code vinyls from you and don't post on the forum.

Thank you very much for your attention on this!!

Done my bit aswell, This is my bit

To who it may concern.

VDJ is a awesome DJ tool. I personally think it beats all the other DJ software around on the market, by miles. The competition is fierce out they and the other companies all wanting a piece of the action. One way we can help us stay ahead of everybody, is to have give more options, to your customer base and new customers. This is where Coloured time coded vinyl would help. You might say there is not a demand for it, but I think there is, all you have to do is look and you will see many other DJ software companies, that produce this coloured vinyl for example, Serato and Mixvbes to name but a few.

Now you might say that there is no demand for it within VDJ itself but I think you are wrong, what it is that, the VDJ customers have never had the choice of coloured vinyl On the website it has always been black and without standing up and saying we want coloured vinyl it will always stay black. I for one would like a choice to decide what colour I would like.

We are not saying, go out a produce a load of coloured, but start off with 1 or maybe 2 different colors and see how it goes. Advertise them on the website I can tell you that they will take off. Even if you have to increase the price of them per vinyl I think people will still buy them. I for one will certainly buy them.

Anyway I've said my piece, all I can say to you now is to listen to your customers and see what they want.

Many thanks

Please we need more. Come on guys.

I just send this..as promised;)

To whom it may concern.

RE: Color Vinyl

Firstly, i wanna say that VDJ gen 3 vinyl is great. Thank you.

To my honest opinion, i really think the color vinyl is a great idea n it will make others like serato etc aware of the leap that VDJ make so far, thus creating more competition which is healthy for the market. It be cool if dj's could buy his preference custom color aside from the normal black ones. It will definitely enhanced the set up look for example if i could have the white ones, i be using it with my white macbook:).. If i using one of my pc lappy, i would choose other color.hehe..

To conclude this i would sincerely ask and hope that this will be available in the future. User won't mind the extra money that will be involved here. Thanks for reading this short message on why i really hope that this could be implement;)

Best Regards...

Thanks for your responses, Decks doesnt work it was the site that doesnt ship to Vietnam... and only ships to the same address as the card is on. Which is for me not possible since i maybe live in Vietnam but dont get my salary here.. which you also woudnt want because of many reasons, biggest of all being you cant take money out of the country. And VN credit cards are useless anyway..

I might be able to work something out special for your case, please
