Ecler Nuo4.... IMO the crossfader is better than the djm-800. You can upgrade the crossfader to a non-contact fader(eternal fader) which is more suited for scratch users who like the fader super loose.
Not sure about the A & H range but they might be better considering they are ridiculously priced. Rane still got the best faders but not compatible as a midi mixer in vdj.

Hmmm... good to know about the non-contact fader on the Ecler NU04 (my friend DJ Shortkut played a large part in that innovative development for Vestax back in the early 90's BTW... drastically eliminates static noise as well).
I had hoped to pick up the Mackie d.4 because when it was first being publicized earlier this year, it was said to be a hardware midi-mixer. Apparently that's changed.
At only $150 more than the NU04, but $500 less than the DJM-800, THAT would have probably been a hands down winner.
Oh well, I'll probably end up with the NU04... unless Numark has something up it's sleeve in the hardware midi-mixer department! - hopefully in the $700 price range - ;)
Behringer has a new entry level $500ish hardware midi-mixer but the downfall is that it's a ... Behringer.

the Ecler looks sweet, I realy liked the small form factor of the total control and the ability to use the jog/scratch wheels when a turntable isnt available , the Ecler looks big ish do you take it to shows?

In my opinion is the Vestax VCI-100 the best Midicontroller. Also the crossfader curve and the jog-/scratchwheels-sensitivity are adjustable.

Yeah the VCI-100 does look good, nice biuld quality from what I can tell,

Ecler Nuo4 Has a real nice fader they use the same faders as Rane dose.
It also has a lot of great features.
Check out my video demo of it:

awesome vid KregCZ nice to see a set up working so nicely :)
that shot at the end was cool too of the TV screen and your shadow as you were scratching,
I'm kinda keen on something with its own scratch jog wheels for situtaltions where theres no decks for the time code,
and also something portable for gigs..vestax is wining at the moment for me

Thank you for the complaments,
At my club gigs I use the BDC2000 it's only about $150 and works beter for me than the MK2.
The scratch/jog wheels are almost the same size as the vestax (I have used both) and I would have to say it is quit hard to scratch on either.
Both are great for the dj who dose not scratch, and I have a lot of fun with my BDC. Don't forget that the vestax has no sound card so you will need to also use an external sound card with that system, so your spending around $600-$700 for the vestax, or $125-$150 for the BDC2000/BDC3000.
When it comes to MIDI controlers you don't have to spend a lot to get a lot.
The BDC is great the Vestax looks nice but it's over priced, if it came with an great sounding internal sound card I might buy one but for now I get more for my money using the BDC.
