Topic: DirectX sound driver error

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I pretty sure this is a brand new real bug to be addressed by VDJ.

I updated my media player to version 10 and since then I get a message: DirectX sound driver error
each time I start VDJ 2.05 with or without my DJ Console.

I suspect that Media Player has installed a brand new DirectX driver that has some incompatibilti with VDJ. The good news is that I can still use VDJ.

But I think you should look into this ASAP since it can affect all your XP client base.

That may mean that the sound device that you most recently used is not plugged in the next time you started VDJ.

I get this message whenever I forget to plug the xp-10 in first.
Plug in the sound device first, then launch VDJ.
