I would say save your money, its a bit of overkill. I run the X1950 pro and it is a great card:)

I would say that card is ok to me but take advice from those who use ATI cards n u won't be sorry:)

Yes, I agree, a bit of overkill, you can go with ATI 2600 PRO or XT with 256MB DDR3 for video use.

Intel P35 Chipset based motherboard (Foxconn or MSI)
Intel Core 2 6750 2x2.6Ghz, 4MB cache, 1333Mhz FSB
2 or more GB of ram at 800Mhz (it's VERY cheap these days ;) )
ATI Radeon 2600 PRO or XT with 256MB DDR3
or
NVIDIA 8600GT or 8600GTS with 256MB DDR3
500GB WD
The rest is up to you ;)

Alf you forgot the most important component recomendadion....the sound card, since as a DJ application, you don't want your weak link to be a shotty soundcard giving you shotty sound.
