I did the stupid thing of looking into User documents and seeing the other virtual dj folder for skins, samples etc and thought it would be a good idea to have all the virtual dj folders in one place so i moved it into the virtual dj folder in Program files. :-) (IDIOT) ...... worst thing is, I checked the manual after and it says specifically to keep it in user docs!
When i moved the folder, there was another virtual dj folder in there which contained iam sure old skin, sample, information, which i copied overthinking it was old and obviously it has done something.
................Anyway VDJ now takes alot longer to load and shut and i want to just reinstall it.
I want to know how to keep all changed CBG information and all old database information without it being uninstalled??
Thankyou so much all you helpfull people!!
I have learnt my leason now, RTFM. :-)

copy all the folders from the Program Files\\VirtualDJ folder back into the My Documents -> VirtualDJ folder
copy the XML file ( VirtualDJ Database v5.xml ) from the Program Files\\VirtualDJ folder to the My Documents -> VirtualDJ folder
Now launch VirtualDJ. Also, if the files get created by an install then they are usually that way for a reason.
Oh and copy the .PDF files (User Manual) from the Program Files\\VirtualDJ folder back into the My Documents -> VirtualDJ folder
That should help.

funny thing is I didnt remember the files that i copied over, but they must have been the same ones from VDJ 4 so all i had to do was copy over the folder back to MY DOCS.
I did copy back the VDJ5 database XML before posting this because i was thinking that VDJ was taking longer to search due to the diff location. It didnt work, though on a reload of the PC i found VDJ to load as it did.
Thanks for your help.

I have actually found now that all my saved CBG changes are not still evident when playing, how can i check its not?
I have the same 3 different database XML files in USER DOCS and in PROGRAM FILES, one for USER one for V5 and one for just VIRTUAL DJ DATABASE. They are all different sizes but?

VirtualDJ 5 only uses the local files that are stored in My Documents -> VirtualDJ folder and then all the 'additional' drive partitions in their root - for example the D: partition on an internal drive you would find a VirtualDJ Database v5.xml

We'll for me i have, as you said, Virtualdj database V5 XML for D:, 'Virtualdj database (user) XML' and, i also have one more which is a small file which is labelled just Virtualdj database.
Anyway...i have the 3 XML files in Program files "and" in My documents, you should rememeber when i tried to move the My docs Virtual dj folder into the Program files folder, i think i may have done something or is it meant to be like this?
For some reason all the CBG information wont work.
