Absolutely!! - I have some CD's that I have yet to rip to MP3 and now I can play them at parties from my laptop, without the previous song locking up.

mind you ... not nearly as fast as compared to mp3s. but a MASSIVE improvement !!!!!!

we have effectively really improve the audio ripping 'on the fly'
Besides, you're now able to directly rip an audio cd in mp3 from the software (select the track and choose copy to from the context menu)
