can any one suggest a good usb2 hub that is not DC powered?
If im powering a dac 3 and a mixer that has a built in sound card will it need to be powered?

You should always use a Self-powered HUB. Hubs powered by the USB ports create to many 'drops' in packets that cause issues. Especially if you are running a controller through the same hub the soundcard is on. Always recommend that the USB Sound device be given it's own dedicated USB port to run from.

Thanks for the reply, like a lot of people at the moment i'm building a new system - this time i want minimal wires however I know I can't if it effect's
the performance. I think i'll have to try it n see what happens.
