Topic: HELP :( My New Total Control Doesnt Have Power???

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just purchased the total control w/cue le & I plug in the unit runnip XP windows installed the hardware but cue will not activate because it says it doesnt detect the controller. there arent any lights illumainted on the total control??? Is there a way to turn the unit on??? I plugged it in all the usb ports and of course the unit is plugged in??? Help was I sold a deffective unit??

I was able to get the controller to work on my desktop's rear usb port without the controller's external power supply but i still cannot get it to work on any of my acer aspire 9410 notebook's usb ports (1 rear, 3 side) with or without the external power supply.. could someone please help me figure this out..Thanx
 
sounds like your out of usb power on that bus

you will have to use a powered usb hub or the external power
 
I tried using the external power it still doesnt work with the notebook, could the external power transformer be deffective??
