ive just bought myself a mac, i want use my vdj software on the mac, how to i do this as the software bought was for a pc, would i need to purchase the software again or is there another way

mac version is available for Pro version users in the download center

if you were to upgrade from home to pro you get a discount

I’ve just bought a Mac book pro . First time using a Mac by the way, I’m trying to move all my music from my pc to my Mac trough a external hard drive, the thing is I have all my music very well sorted in folders by genre let say one folder for hip hop but when I copy this folder to my Mac this automatically makes compilations one folder for each artist , now in one folder of hip hop I have so many subfolders , when I open VDJ 4.3 I have to open this folders one by one to get to a single track, What am I doing wrong I need some help, also how can I transfer all my music without losing the BPM’s and cues information,

I'm gonna let sky answer this one as he at the moment is more experienced with the technical aspects of Virtual DJ and Virtual Vinyl for both windows and Mac.

No problem.

I sent the PM right after I posted that, so you should be hearing back from sky shortly.
 
hi there sounds like itunes it interfearing ,

go to intunes options and dissable organise itunes folders , and dissable copy music to itunes folder

this way your music files , will stay in your desired folders

now you need to go to the folder C:/programfiles/numarkcue

and copy the files
Virtualdjdatabase.xml
virtualdjdatbase(yourname).xml
mp3database.txt

may be called cuedatabase

copy these files to your mac

Documents / Numark cue

now add your music to your local database and all the cues and bpm will apear in the browser

I'd rather people get the right answer than an incorrect one from someone who doesn't really have first hand experience with the issue at hand.
