Ok, this one was very tough to track down.

Some of my MP3s started skipping when I was playing with the "move loop entry point" dial.

It didn't happen with all of them.
At first I thought it was maybe a VBR thing, so I re-encoded them, but I still had the problem.

Then I thought maybe it was a driver/configuration thing, so I tried it on my desktop, and got the same problem.

Then I thought it was an algorithm compression thing, so I re-encoded with another algorithm, but again same problem.

It doesn't happen on a lot of songs, but seems to happen a lot of songs with heavy base lines (a lot of house songs)

What fixed the problem was me disabling the "limiter" option.
Now there is no more skipping.

If you want, I can send you a sample of one of the MP3s with which it skips.

Yes please, upload it here, and name the file with a short description of the problem, so that we can easily find it.

Are your equalisers all reseted, and the gain displaying 0dB (or less) when it skips ?

Yeah.
Gain at 0, all equalizers reset.

The problem seems to only affect the bass; if you kill the bass there is no more skipping.

I've uploaded the file: "Skips when playing with loop entry point dial while limiter is enabled.mp3"
