I have a dell laptop that i run vdj from and am looking to add an external hard-drive.....any suggestions on what I should get?

You can get any external hard disk, they are cheap this days, you can go for 500Gb.

I use a 80gig Maxtor onetouch pocket external hard drive, with my laptop.
It only cost about 45 pounds. Had it for 3 months and no problems yet, watch it start playing up now i've just said that.
