Can the herc handle scratching a tcv?

It does support this feature but the quality is not very good. Shame though, as the Herc MK2 would be a good size midi controller when combined with TCV. Best go for the Maya or U46DJ.

can't find em...

I'm running the Herc MK2 with TCV's and have no problems, and my pc is by no means a work horse, only Dell Inspiron 1200 w/ 512MB of RAM and a 1.3GHz Celluron (it is a VDJ dedicated machine though)

Check out skyfl's configuration details for the Herc w/ TCV and using "ASIO 4 All" for the audio drivers as opposed to the shartty ones that come from Hercules. I had pretty poor scratch results before following his set up, now I'm in love again <3

thanx for the linx, but both are discontinued. I know that the u46dj is out now, but you have to buy it with another software package n stuff...

I guess I could try to find a maya 44 somewhere....... ebay i guess

Just looking at both the maya 44 usb, and the gigaport ag, they look AWEFULLY similar, like almost the exact same thing....

Which one is better? the gigaport i see goes (or I should say, it went) for $50 more than the maya

awesome. cept i'm in the states.

ESI is better for what? all around, or tcv scratching?

I think both ;)

ESI u46dj is a mighty fine piece of equipment, definatly one of the best external cards in it's price range, especialy for heavy scratching. The delta 1010lt is better imo, but you need a pci slot for that one. I used to use my mk2 for tcv before I bought the u46dj, but as others have said it's asio drivers make heavy scratching a big annoyance. Never tried it though with the asio4all drivers, but the u46dj is just a much better soundcard;^]
