It has to be wireless! What kind of club would allow that piece of sh*t to be connected to the Mixer!

That thing is actually uglier than the M-AUDIO XPONENT controller.

But I'll bet there will be 16 year old high school seniors lining up by the dozen to buy it. Just soi they can DJ the pep rally and dance along with the cheerleader that's trying to fuck the captain of the football team.
 
I'm all for supporting the promotion of DJing to kids. I know I will when I have some, but I'd not use that lol. It looks like Tomy made it lol
 
I think there is one practical side:

WEDDINGS, you know when your doing a wedding and between the toasting and cake cuting. You have to jet back to the dj booth to start the cake song, move back over to the couple to explain how to properly cut the cake, then back to the DJ booth for change of music for next event.

Garter / bouqet toss... You could be more involved and still change out the songs to have even flow of events.

Let's think even bigger - During coctails of an event, you have a miniture wireless tv / monitor and someone gives you a request... without changing the conversation, you put the request on. Imagine the "tips" you could make.

I'm only thinking!

Uggg, I hate wireless devices for audio. All of it, even bluetooth is subject to RF interferance. For my playstation controler, that's fine, but when audio is involved wireless only introduces new problems, especialy if you're gigging with it. Better to stick with good old cables, they may be messy at times but good cables are highly reliable. I vote no on a wireless DJ device;^]
 
this must be a kick in the ass for all you hercules owners. Thats why i am going for the idj2. I smashed my hercules out of the window a long time a go.
 
Hehe, well it's only 45 quid, I've just ordered one out of curiosity! I'll let you guys know what it's like when it arrives! :-)

Sorry, forgot about the 'merkins! That's about $90 to you... And yes, I'll keep you all posted! If it works, I'll post a photo of me sitting at the bar with console, wireless headphones and pint... ;-)

Well according to Amazon, the payment's gone through, might have it in my hand by the end of the week if i'm lucky, although it's being despatched from a company in Germany before it makes it to the UK dealer.

Bit disturbing that there's absolutely NO information that I could find on this thing on the internet though, other than on the Amazon page! Not even so much of a mention of it on Hercules' own page... what are they trying to hide I wonder? ;-)

Ah.... done some detective work, and found this from the distributor's germany-based site. It doesn't translate very well in Babelfish, but I spotted 2 words that are VERY interesting...

That contraption isn't new. That kid on "Gigantor" used it to control his robot. lol
