Man! Isnt thats Cute!! Why does Hercules feel the need to develop professional dj equipment that look so dam unprofessional…
 
Its a good idea, but I don't personally like it.

Amazon say: "Wireless: Absolutely NO WIRES. Dance with the crowd and mix at the same time!" Just how would this be possible??? You'd need to hold it in one hand and use the other to operate it. It looks so small you'd probably need to stare at it to see what you were pressing lol. Add this to drunk/drinking guests and disaster is sure to ensue lol.

The wireless thing is good since we all have enough cables anyway but how long is battery life etc. Still wont know until it's tested indipendantly. Another choice though I guess :o)
 
i like a radio shack mixer ...... they still have that cowbell button

i dont think it works on midi and virtual dj is not supplied with it seems like a toy.

Hercules isn;t very good at all.

Seems that the MK2 was the height of their fame, shame because I thought it was just the begining for them. They made a fortune on the MK2, and now they've taken a step towards blowing the cash on a piece of crap that wont sell, why can't they be like Numark and engage in a dialouge with real working DJ's?
 
I wonder how many - if any R & D people from the DJ Gear manufacutrers read these forums.

I think they might be surprised.
 
I've just got off the phone with Hercules...seems I was wrong, they've just taken an order of 2,000 units from Disney Land Paris, and Macdonalds have expressed great interest in having these things come free with their "Happy meals", a few more contracts like that and these things might just do well.

Well i don't know who you spoke with Bagpuss but i just got off the with Herc Coporate and they said that pic was just a prototype and would actually look more like this:



I guess overall that would be just an ok cheap midi device

 
they positively refuse to tell me what software is included.

HeHeHe, laugh it boys. We all know what's going to happen. We'll be reading in the forums in the next month or two on how your sitting at your club, at the bar with tv monitor ( vdj ) and the Hercules toy at hand. You'll have next to you a pint or two and you'll be practicing at the bar with your head phones on.

Don't laugh, someone's going to try it. - LOL
