you can fill to maximum a drive for storage but for work never fill it more than 70% or you will reduce a lot the bitrate of the drive.
there is charts for bitrate of each drive in video editing even after 50 % you start to lost a little bit .
also when a drive is old even empty it start to lost bitrate so speedness.
 
just to share with you - I was having the same problem with the loading time of my songs - and I did some research - just make sure that the max load option in the virtual dj configuration is set to ALWAYS - - that fixed the problem for me and they load up very quickly - Hope this helps you too!!

Hi. Have a problem with the start/pause button on my herucules Mk2. Stopped working on the left side. Anyone know where to find a mapper for Mac? Or if I can solve the problem another way....?
