Hi,
I am ripping with the $35 software from clubdjpro, and wondering what the settings should be set at.
Resolutions? >
what numbers to put for each box (2 of them)
Resize?
(nearest neighbourbilinear/bilinear mmx/bicubic/bicubic sse/billinear sse 3dnow)
Video bitrate is at 1150 (should it be different?)
Frame rate
(23.976 ntsc /24.0/25.0 PAL/29.97 ntsc/30.0)

Isn't there a MPEG-1 VideoCD quality preset?
If you use the European standard, select this:
_ PAL (25 fps)
_ Frame-based
_ MPEG files
_ 24 Bits, 352 x 288, 25 fps
_ (Video CD-PAL)
_ Video data rate: 1150 kbps
_ Audio data rate: 224 kbps
_ Layer 2, 44.1 kHz, Stereo
If you use the American standard, select this other:
_ NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
_ Frame-based
_ MPEG files
_ 24 Bits, 352 x 240, 29.97 fps
_ (Video CD-NTSC)
_ Video data rate: 1150 kbps
_ Audio data rate: 224 kbps
_ Layer 2, 44.1 kHz, Stereo
This is the best method.

for quality, I've been using 384. Is that bad?
Still can't get it just right.
I can't find a manual to that program either, and I just bought it yesterday.

It MUST contain at leat a link to the official site... There MUST be a manual!!!
Anyway, the two specifications I've posted are the two VideoCD STANDARDS! They will work on ANY device and are VERY fast to load & compute, because everything is done inside the video card!!! Avoid other formats! You could also get a good performance with DVD quality, but the VideoCd is worth for video mixing.

It worked fine until I changed a few things, just to see what the choices were. There is no default button. I may need to do a reinstall of it.

I put it on my laptop to see how it ripped, and the videos look great at default settings!
