I recently purchased the Numark Cue software and installed it on two of my laptops. The software played fine first couple of times and then started giving an error message "Direct X error or not functional". The song loads on the virtual deck but does not play. When I try to close the window it says the song is still playing on the deck. I suppose I can uninstall and reinstall the software but it would be frustrating if this is a recurring problem. Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The DirectX error message is really a bit misleading.
It simply (usually) means that the current set soundcard in VDJ is not present, or that the setting for it is wrong or not logic.
Go to soundcard setting in VDJ and correct it to a good working and logic setting, and restart Cue.
The error message should be gone ;)
