I will be using the following expuipment to interface my mixer and 1200s to my desktop
behringer beat800 phono preamp
hosa snake cable 1/4" TRS to dual RCA
alpha lexicon
i have researched for a long time and started of with a hypothesis...why do i have to pay so much for all this awsome PC-DJ stuff to replace the habbit of buying vinyl. so i took advantage of many great and woderful resources. I payed 200-220 for all the hardware and I must say i got the hook up ;) I used musiciansfriend and ebay to find the right stuff and the right price. Here is my conclusion...the usb and firwire i-face itself won't make the difference in your latency. only thing i am missing are some asio drivers that may possibly be better than asio4all. them are freebies...the best things are free
