I recently downloaded plugins from the vdj website but they just don't seem to work. how can i fix this problem?

Before you download ... read the info beside the plugin name etc....
It will tell you if that particular plugin works with 4.x or 3.x
Not all of them work with 4.2, some only work with 3.4
