Topic: Should we offer time coded cd?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

As the topic states should we offer glass mastered TCCD in the VDJ store?

I guess if people are willing to buy what they can make then why not?
But, don't remove the TC file from the site.

although you could sell them (why not, right? money is money, business is business)

you'll probably run into a bit of trouble with those people using herc mk2's, and lower end soundcards...

aka the soundcards that you have to adjust the track's gain on. and you know someone will buy the TCCD's... find out they have to have a gain-edited copy, and then moan about how they want their money back

Like anything else - offer it and people will buy it.

Just provide adequate instructions

The lack thereof can cause more grief then is nessesary

Hi All,
going off the main topic but along the same lines. Why not bring out a "PRO" pro version (UPGRADE) of VDJ and charge users that wish to upgrade to the newer version. What I mean is, if the devolpers had some "more" money to play with im shure the quality of the software "could" improve ! (not saying its bad at the moment) but there is always room for improvment ! Maybe at least speed the improvment process up a little !

Without going in to details of what a "PRO" pro version of VDJ would be like ect.... What is people's thoughts on "paying" for an UPGRADE/s

I know the price of the program has increased (alot) since it first came out ! But HIGH END software isnt cheap is it and maybe VDJ can get there FASTER with some help from hardcore users !

Just an Idea ! LMK what you/s think

ChrisB

P.S how much is the other software's in this market compared to VDJ ??? ^^^^^^^

I think it would look more professional if offered as a fully printed one for many djs.

With Numark Cue you get CDs with labels on don't you - Why should VDJ be different?

That would destroy every thing virtual dj is about , community and supporting each other and a fair deal to the consumers and will not happen

its this which has put many people off buying over softwares such as mixvibes , trackor and pcdj

yes i think you should offer mastered cds :)

Traktor is cheaper than V DJ. ... 190 Euros or 130 uk pounds

Upgrading from Traktor LE (bundled with some hardware) is 50 uk pounds.

Why would you want pressed CDs when you can use a CD-R? That's just crazy. If you really want a label on it, burn a Lightscribe disc.

not every one knows how to or wants to :)

Trust me, you will be surprised at how some people will buy it just because it is 'authentic' of sorts

I "authenticate" my CD-Rs with a marker pen. ;)

You get them with Serato, so why not. It looks more professional for Atomix and Numark.

Yes, way off topic. And against the grain.

Absolutely offer Mastered Quality CD's! Its more professional.

not way off!!! the CD's could be part of the "payed for upgrade" sort of the same if you think about it ! paying for cd's people "dont really need" or an "upgrade" they dont really need ! BUT if you want it you will pay for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and SLYFOX isnt giving VDJ "MONEY" supporting the software/users.....ect anyway>>>>>

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAYFOR ! remember that !

I thought it would be good for "professional" users/working DJs to have a PRO UPGRADE option ! and for a small FEE you get the improved version ! (with mastered tc CD's and other "more professional" things)

can only make it better whats wrong with THAT ?

Also how many of us only payed the origanal cheaper price 4 years ago ! and have been getting "FREE" upgrade's ever since ??? I wouldnt mind paying for an upgrade>>>>>>if the software improved !!!
