Topic: registry error AND database corrupted.....

well i have a backup database so i have to restore it.......how? apparently since I got it back from circuit city (where they did a recovery) now it thinks it's not registered ? didn't do that for the first few days though........

also it will no longer rip while playing ???????

goodness lol what do u do to ur pc =)?

ok to back up the files

place the database files back into the program folder and rename the one with your name to ur current username

if there is a registry wipe , you need to put your serial back in yes

sounds a sick os id advise a clean install of your Operating system
 
last night i was trying to get my setup back to normal......i used to be able to seriously multitask before i had the problem where it wouldn't boot.....

i was trying to run Traktor plus VDJ plus rip ( which it used to do) and it was trying to freeze during the rip and then VDJ froze then i had to do a 3 finger salute to close VDJ, then registry error plus database corrupted....
 
uhhh, thx sky but can you give that to me more specific and step by step ???? there is more than one database file .....take the backups and place them where and in what order (if it matters) and then what do i do with the old database files??

how do i re register ??

are we having fun yet??
 
alright delete the current currupt db

place all of your backed up database files in C:/programfiles/virtualdj

to reregister just place your serial number in the box that pops up
 
thx all seems to be well again.....ahh the thrills of being a dj,decorrupting a database, recovering a laptop, analyzing tunes.........any moment i may even play some music......
 
i use a product called ghost which takes a snap shot of all files and settings on ur pc when perfect so you can restore it at the touch of a button in minutes
