Turn off (or disable) the hibernation/power off settings on your computer. Have it running as 'Always on' and set the 'Turn Screen Off...' command to 'Never'.

Disable your screen saver.

Can't think what else...unless of course it's hardware related (graphics card issues, etc) as opposed to how the actual machine is set up.

All will come good in the end...(",)

have you tried a reinstall?

Well , no i havent, just remembered the trial version used to do that as well , so maybe could it be clashing with PCDJ , I would have thought not.

be sure to back up your database files first

go to C:/programfiles/virtualdj/

copy virtualdjdatabase.xml

virtualdjdatabase(yourname).xml

mp3database.txt

go to startmenu > control pannel > add remove programs> Virtual dj > Remove

then use the latest installer to restore virtual dj

now copy your database files back your good to go :)

lost the installer not to worry :)
contact support and they will gladly give you another installer

Good luck :)

Wait!!! Before reinstalling:

Make sure you clean your registry* (Start>Run>Regedit>Local Machine>Software) and also clean all registries of VDJ from your Prefetch folder (can't remember exactly where this is...perhaps under C:\Windows - sorry, dunno. Try a search under C drive for a file called Prefetch. It'll come up no bother.) This will give you a complete clean out of VDJ.

When you have cleaned away all VDJ entries, do a final search on your computer for 'VDJ', 'VirtualDJ', 'Virtual', 'DJ' or anything else associated with your program and delete that too to ensure NOTHING is left.

Only then should you reinstall VDJ. It may also be an idea to burn your PCDJ.exe to disc and keep it for future use and then removing that from your pc as well (although not a good idea if you actually still use PCDJ...:o|)

When you have reinstalled VDJ, just upload the .xml files from the disc you burned earlier on and copy them back into your program drive, and you will not have lost any cues, bpm's, comments or anything.

Good luck. Keep spinnin'...(",)

* Only clean your registry if you feel comfortable doing so...otherwise, ask in the forums for help and we will assist. :o)
