Time to shop for my Virtual DJ system! :-) Gotta get all the pieces purchased before the end of the year for tax purposes, so its time to start with the DAC-3. Where is a trustworthy place? I've purchased things from Guitar Center before and I see it on their website for $500 but after some dealings with that i'd rather not get this from them.

Also, where is a good place to get one of those USB cards like the Maya 44? Need something kinda small I'm guessing this will do.

great sound. :-)

Sorry for all the ?' but this is a whole new realm for me and my cpu guy doesn't know squat about sound and stuff.

Can ya recommend a good place to get one of those good USB sound cards? I'm not going to go with the U46DJ so what are some other options and where to pick one up? Santa Clause came yesterday. :)

Gigaport is great alternative - with the big exception that it is ALL OUTPUTs no Inputs.

For straight forward playback (non time code with inputs) I like the M Audio Fast Track Pro.
Has gain control, 2 mic inputs, headphone jack with a/b mix and balanced outputs for the quietest freaking sound output i've ever heard.

This is cheaper than I paid for it, $199 is average street price for it.

Alrighty Rick. Thanks. Looks like i'll go with that and it looks really small. Quiet output is good considering i'm using this in a medium size club with an all JBL speakers and Crown amps sound system.
